Hole punching tools for panels and enclosures

Greenlee offer a comprehensive hole punching system to punch holes in panels and enclosures up to 3.5mm thick in stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, fibreglass and plastic.

Punches are available in many sizes for circular, square and rectangular holes together with more unusual or specialist D’s, double D’s, keyed, oiltight and cylinder locks. Electronic connector panel punches for generic D-type connectors in 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 ways are also available. These are suitable for 1.5mm thick mild steel and 3.5mm thick aluminium and offer a fast accurate way of punching a shaped cut-out with mounting slots with no time consuming sawing or filing required.

The unique punch profile of the Greenlee Slug-Buster and Slug-Splitter punches allows the split slugs to fall free easily because they cannot cling to the draw stud, so speeding up production.

Depending on the volume involved the punches can be driven by ratchet, hydraulic and battery powered tools. The ratchet tool is aimed at the occasional user and is usually supplied in a case with five sizes of punches and dies. The hand held Quick Draw hydraulic tool is for higher volume and fast punching. There are also separate hand and foot operated hydraulic pumps if preferred.

The “LS60 Plus” is a micro processor controlled battery powered punch driver. This powerful and quick tool needs only 8 seconds to punch a 60mm diameter hole in mild steel 3mm thick. The integrated micro processor control ensures that the driver stops automatically once the punching operation has been completed. This function guarantees safety for the operator and makes the punching tools last longer.

Greenlee also offer a manually operated DIN rail cutter and punch. This bench mounted tool produces burr free cuts and punching of mounting slots. The tool includes a cutting die set for 5 different profiles of DIN rail and a punch for vertical and horizontal mounting holes of 12.0 x 6.4mm.
