Klauke EK 35/4-L

Battery powered crimping tool

The EK 35/4-L crimps cable lugs and connectors up to 6-150 mm². The extremely slim and flip-top-style crimping head is ideal for operations in critical areas for instance in switchboard construction.

The ergonomic 2-component housing with soft linings ensures a comfortable and safe one hand operation. During the development of this crimping tool great value has been set to achieve a well-balanced gravity centre for fatigue-proof operations. The integrated high performance LED provides optimum illumination in all working areas and ensures additional safety. On request this function can be deactivated. Also in hard to reach areas the LED offers excellent illumination and additional comfort. The approved one-button operating concept for controlling all tooling functions - developed by Klauke – is also integrated in the new generation EK 35/4-L. Klauke only employs environmentally-friendly hydraulic oil which is quickly biodegradable.

Function

The new EK 35/4-L is equipped with the new Li-ion technology. The Li-ion 18v batteries do not have a memory effect and no self-discharging. Even after long non-working times this technology provides immediate tool availability. Li-ion batteries are lower in weight, offer higher capacities and considerably shorter charging times than NiMH batteries. Mains adapter NG2 is available as a useful accessory.

A manual retract button allows the user to retract the ram in case of need. The tool also features an automatic retraction when crimping is complete.

As all Klauke crimping tools of the new generation the EK 35/4-L is equipped with the approved Intelligent Pressing System IPS monitoring crimping operations. It indicates deviations immediately by visual and audible signals. This means for the user absolute safety and guarantees reliable productivity and results.
